André Baier

André Baier studied applied mathematics with a focus on technology, followed by a master's degree in renewable energy and energy efficiency. He has held several key positions at the Fraunhofer Institute for Energy Economics and System Technology (IEE). He developed and led a data science team, developed and led the business field Energy Meteorological Information Systems. Since 2023 he is the spokesman of the business field Digital Energy Economics. Baier is passionate about innovation management and is a certified research manager. His research interests lie in the implementation of Artificial Intelligence in the energy system. He initiated and led the Competence Center for Cognitive Energy Systems project at IEE and is actively developing the Innovation Cluster for Cognitive Energy Systems (IC4CES).
